day 115 in 2013


oh happy new day

found this little gem:)


christin eliminated her son johnny's adhd symptoms by removing wheat, dairy, soy & additives from his diet.  it's like finding pirate treasure...

here's a little abbie update.  the holidays, of course, are the proverbial shi-show with food.
additives, colors, gluten are e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e.  so, we haven't been "perfect".  if she eats a "no-no", we talk about the ingredients and of course discuss the after effects.  the mommy food patrol: it's a hard thing to let go of...i will not be/can't be a helicopter.  Otherwise, how will she know to avoid these foods if she doesn't know how they will effect her?

what is gluten?
what foods have artificial colors?
what is a preservative?
can i have that?  why not?
how does it make me feel?

she is really learning:)  and she'll be off and running with her friends in a few years...and i won't be around.  whoa dogs, not yet!!!!
